Don’t tell my brother, but I painted Lite Lunch thinking I’d give
it to him as a house warming present… and somehow it never made it to his
house. I guess I owe him a
painting!!
I knew I wanted a reflection, so I set up the apple and Coke on my granite kitchen counter. I didn’t start out painting the shadow in the background. Sometimes it’s just a happy accident when an
interesting shadow accidently falls across the canvas after I’ve finished the
painting. If I think it adds something I
paint the shadow in for more interest.
