Treasure Hunter

I fell in love with the lime green boots.  I saw this young man exploring in the town square fountain in Old Town Alexandria, VA where they have a wonderful farmer's market every Saturday morning.  It was early spring and the fountain was dry except for some water from a recent rain.  It was obviously a favorite pastime, because he was wearing his boots and headed straight for the puddles.

The photo is a little light.  The colors are more reverberant in person.  The painting was just purchased by a gentleman who said his mother stopped to enjoy the painting every time she walked by it. The best compliment ever.
