There is just something about the color red! I enjoyed doing the still life yesterday so decided to pick another object from around the house. The spice jar was sitting on the counter and the red top caught my eye. Simple jar - how hard could that be? I won't tell you how many time I drew it too large and wiped it out. I finally grabbed the great drawing caliper my friend Maria gave me. If you don't have one its a great tool... I just have to remember to hold my arm all the way out!
