Here There and Everywhere

Last Saturday was my reception.   I'm blessed to have such wonderful friends who came out to support me or sent me notes of encouragement.  I thank all of you.

I couldn't believe that with all of the awful weather we've been having that I could be so lucky and have a beautiful sunny day with the temperature in the 80s!  The temperature fell below normal again the next day.

My show will run until May 6th at the Loft Gallery, 313 Mill St. (upstairs) Occoquan, VA.
Hours: Tue-Fri 11-4pn; Sat 11-5pm; Sun noon-5pm; closed on Monday

Jan 18 | Say What

#7

“Say What?”
6x6” oil ($95 unframed)

I might go back and add a few highlights, but maybe not.  I still need work on making more definitive brush strokes.  I keep wanting to blend!

Tav is an older dog and his coat is graying so getting some gray on him was interesting and tough, but what a personality.

Thank you Homer for sharing his photo.

Jan 16 | Eye On The Birdie

#6

“Eye on the Birdie”
6x6” oil ($95 unframed)

Its so hard not to keep playing with a painting and I've had a couple these past two weeks I haven't posted because I've over painted them.  Back to basics.

Thank you Julie for sharing Richard with me.

Jan 11 | All Dolled Up

#5 |

“All Dolled Up”
6x6” oil ($95 unframed)

This year's challenge has been interesting.  I am painting everyday, but not finishing then in one day.  I can't decide if I'm too relaxed about it or being too hard on myself so I'm picker this year.  But my goal for the challenge is being met, I'm painting everyday.   I've got 3 paintings started and a couple more drawn out.  I just have this need to go back a second day and add more highlights and shadows.

Thank you Jo Ellen for sending me this great photo.
